Facilities for Passengers with Reduced Mobility

There are special facilities for passengers with reduced mobility at our ports and on our ships.

Irish Ferries have special systems and products in place to aid passengers with special needs. Self-identification is very important to us as we can flag your booking.Intending passengers are requested to contact Irish Ferries at least 3 days before departure to advise their needs. Click for more detailed information.

We can offer help in the following ways:

  • All ships and ports used by Irish Ferries are wheelchair friendly and wheelchairs are available for use in the terminal building or on the ships.
  • Your vehicle can be positioned close to the lift on the car deck
  • Reserved area of seating on the ship.

It is possible to book one of the specially adapted cabins on board. These cabins have en-suite shower and toilet facilities and the doorway is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. All cabins are close to a lift. These special cabins are available on all our cruise ferries.
